Herr Herbert Seiberl Training Clinic of the Spanish Riding School of Vienna

2 clinics planned for 2011: January and July

This is when the school's riders have their vacations and the stallions get a rest.

Imagine for a minute, you and your horse in an individual session with a master rider trained for many years in the traditional classical riding technique at the famous & elegant Spanish Riding School of Vienna, Austria! Training passed down for almost 500 established years! What an incredible opportunity! All levels and all breeds welcome. Herbert will work with you, or, with just your horse.

Herbert Seiberl joined the Spanish Riding School as an Eleve when he was 17 years old and has been at the SRS for 16 years. He was awarded the title of Bereiter with his stallion Maestoso Virtuosa in March 2005 and is now one of only two Bereiters at the SRS who performs the Long Rein work in SRS performances. In addition to working on the Long Rein with Favory Plutona, he can also be seen in SRS performances on his Courbette stallion, Favory Superba, doing the in-hand capriole with Siglavy Theodora II and riding his stallion M.Virtuosa in the "School Quadrille." Herr Seiberl has private students and horses in training in Austria who compete successfully in the show ring. Herbert is focused and intense during lessons, following along every step with the rider.  He demands correct work but is very encouraging throughout the lesson, and is wonderful with riders of all levels and both ammies & pros. He is just as good at starting changes and piaffe/passage and tweaking canter pirouettes as he is helping a lower level rider develop throughness and begin lateral work. photos & Bio -Jorie Sligh www.dressageclinics.org
